What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is one of the biggest legislative changes made since 1975. To be effective from May 25, 2018, the primary goal of these changes is the protection of personal data and rights of EU residents.
Product Changes Includes
- Added an option to disable subscriber activity tracking. This can be found in website settings menu. Also, it is disabled by default for all EU subscribers. So you have to check this option only if you want to disable activity tracking for all your subscribers. We track subscriber activities (events) to help websites send personalised push notifications. Disabling this option will prevent you from sending personalized notifications based on event triggers.
- Added an option to disable storage of subscriber’s IP and location information. This can be found in website settings menu. Also, we will not store the IP and location information of any subscribers who come from EU region. So you have to enable this option only if you want to disable IP and Location tracking for all your subscribers.
- Subscribers can opt-out of activity tracking anytime by themselves. A subscriber who does not want to be tracked can turn off activity tracking from the notification panel of a website.
- Exporting and Deleting Subscriber Data. We are committed to helping subscribers download all their personal data in a machine readable format and ensures to delete the data from our server upon request. Either the subscriber directly or the website owner can request for exporting and deleting personal data. You can send a mail to [email protected] with the subscriber’s user id.
